He trained in EMDR with Dr Francine Shapiro, the creator of the therapy, and is accredited as a Consultant by EMDR Europe. He trained in REBT with Dr Albert Ellis in New York, and in CBT with Drs Aaron and Judith Beck in Philadelphia. His Neurofeedback training was with Drs Linda and Michael Thompson, in Toronto.
Edward began his boarding school career at Ashdown House in 1975, aged 7, before going on to Eton College. Originally intending to join the long established family firm, he switched to law, before training as a psychotherapist with a special interest in the treatment of trauma and PTSD.
